INQUIRY-BASED LESSON

At the beginning if the activity, I remember being extremely confused about the purpose of a brown paper bag full of unknown items. However, by the end of class I had learned about Inquiry-Based Learning through the hands-on activity. I found my observations to be slightly off from the actual items within the bag.

My Observations

  • round, large item

  • sleek

  • smooth

  • nothing bendable

  • ​

  • hard feeling

  • fluffy/soft

  • spring/bouncy

  • mint smell

  • sweet smell

  • small ball (cherry sized)

  • loud rustling/shaking

  • smaller items are squishable

  • largest item (when held) allows smaller items to be shaken

  • apple

  • laundry pin

  • rubber band

  • cotton ball

  • stick of mint gum

  • paper clip

  • marble
