Assignment: You’ll explain your final media project plan and share what approach you’ll be taking to address and intervene in one or more of the online conversations you addressed in your Final Analysis!  Describe your project in detail: what interface, modes, genre, and literacies will you make use of?  Why are you choosing this approach?

I want to intervene on the conversation of arming teachers through the perspective of a soon to be teacher. In order to do this I want to either being or continue a discussion on Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit about this topic. The reason for posting on all three media platforms is because each platform is catered by a different age group or a different type of people whom all hold views that are valuable for the conservation.

When it comes to posting in the conversation I am unsure about what I want to post. Only teachers that are comfortable, able, and tested should be allowed to hold armed weapons on the school yard. They should be trialed and tested regularly for the benefit of the children they are protecting and the school they are representing. Arming a teacher that is not comfortable with a fire arm can yield negative results and ultimately ruin the primary goal that the teacher is armed for. The two sides of this conversation are strongly supported by millions of people across out country.

The goal for this project to either create a post that outlines a similar plan that I believe in, or to promote some else’s plan that I agree with. Reddit may a little difficult to post a link or video to, but Facebook and Twitter are easy to promote and embed links into. Maybe the project would be better outlined as a policy debate and I should promote that instead? Images of documents may be problematic to spread across the internet regardless of which platform I post on. I could promote an already created video, or music video to a catchy song, that promotes the idea of arming teachers against school threats.
